Get the two ends close together

Just bring the buckle halves near each other — no aiming, no lining up.

Magnets pull the ends to touch

The magnetic alignment does the work for you.

Internal latches lock onto the opposite post

Grapple claws grab the grooved post and hold everything in place.

The latches keep the buckle closed until the release buttons are pressed

All MAGNEPUP buckles are crafted using a patented magnetic system. Depending on the style of buckle, they are rated from 180 – 700 lbs of break strength.

We have extensively tested our products against both static and dynamic forces, including strong reactive dogs.

Break-strength ratings from static and dynamic load testing. Always match the Slim leash to the Slim collar / XS harness and the Standard leash to Standard collars and harnesses.
